Coo Kachu

I lost myself there

For just a moment or two

You brought me back home.

I went to the moon

To bathe in silvery light

It did not compare.

Straight lines

The world grew smaller

As the plane took off from here

And brought me to you.

Time passes slowly

With the curve of a planet

Always in between.

The gentle caress

Of your trailing fingertips

Across my shoulders.

It’s sometimes quite hard

To fit what I need to say

Into just three lines.

Brevity helps

Verbosity is

The mortal enemy of

The art of haiku.

Words and image are my own.
