Glass, Concrete, and Stone

Siamese love

Breathing is an afterthought

When she’s all you can see

And digging around the roots of your obsession

Only makes it grow

Some part of you knows

She’s just another flawed human being

No different to you

It doesn’t matter

That flawed flesh and blood

Is all that sustains you

In this petrified world of glass, concrete, and stone

You had perspective once

But that was abandoned long ago

Now you travel lighter

And let momentum carry you

The more you see her

The more you love her

The more you love her

The more you need her

Straight over the event horizon

Resistance would be futile

If you wanted to resist.
