Gritty
Sand gets in everywhere
Wearing down the moments
Rubbing away at emotions ‘till
They’re uncomfortably raw
Sand buries secrets
Obliterates kings
Wore poor Ozymandias
Down to his ankles
Sand is
The thief of time
The shaper of continents
The unbearable friction
Sand gets in everywhere
So that’s a no to the dunes
Let’s just stick to the car.

Never sure when I’m getting it right.

You’re wonderful writer. I think you get it right 99% of the time. I would say 100 but don’t want to be too generous. Ha ha

I’d say 10% so let’s split the difference and call it ‘sometimes’. Thanks for the moral support, though. Much appreciated.

I think you underestimate yourself. However, I tend to do the same thing with my stuff . You’re very welcome

I feel like we should always be our own biggest critic. It’s what keeps us trying I suppose.

I agree. It helps us raise the bar

Just feeling the sand in my eyes at the moment. I’m thinking I should have stayed in the car. 😊
