The tenant
She is his every day
From the moment he opens his eyes
And thinks of his girl
To the moment he closes them
On a mind full of thoughts of her
Everything he sees
He wants to show her
Everything he does
He wishes she was sharing with him
She is ubiquitous in his world
As if two hearts were beating in his chest
As if two minds were present in his head
She is his waking dream
His morning coffee
His meditation on the train
She is the woman who lives in two places at once
He is the man who’s every day
Is her.
